Fabulous Freebies for Teachers Winter Blog Hop

Winter Blog Hop

Hi there!  I am part of a group called Fabulous Freebies for Teachers.  We have a blog and a fb page where we post freebies from our stores.  We thought it would be fun to have our first ever blog hop!
So sit back and enjoy hopping through our blogs.  Maybe you'll meet someone new!

Does your family have special traditions they celebrate during the holidays?  When I was young my family always made a big deal on Christmas Eve.  We had a special dinner- usually my mom's delicious homemade clam chowder-and then we got to open some presents.  These were usually the gifts from my parents.  We had to wait until the morning for the gifts from Santa!
On Christmas morning it was magical.  My dad loved to make Christmas morning special.  He'd add little "props" to make it seem as though Santa had visited the night before.  There would be evidence left behind to prove he'd been there.  Of course, there would always be something under the tree that was exactly what I had asked Santa for!
Christmas with family will always hold a special place in my heart.

I have a couple Christmas and winter themed freebies in my store.  I just wrote a blog post about two of them on Thursday- you can see those here Christmas Freebies or visit the freebie section of my store- The Chocolate Teacher's Freebies to grab those.
Here is a winter freebie I created last year.  My class had great fun traveling around and writing the number in standard form.  I think you can see a theme in a lot of my freebies- I like to get the students moving.  haha.  Click on any picture to grab this freebie.

I love feedback- so I'd appreciate any feedback you have about my products that you download.  Thanks!

A new product  I'd like to offer today is a limited time freebie to our followers.    This product is not in my store yet.  This link will only be good until December 5th, so grab it while you can!  After that date it will be a paid item in my store.
My class loves to play games (ok- so do I!).  I try to find activities that are enjoyable for the kids, but also are reinforcing a skill we have learned or need practice with.  I created this long vowel CVCe I Have, Who Has product with my goals in mind (fun & practice)!

If you haven't played I Have, Who Has before, you're in for a treat!  This game requires the kiddos to pay attention to their card, listen to the words each student reads, and be able to decode their word.  Great practice!  The good thing about this game is that you can play it again & again.  Just mix up the cards and pass them out again.  Chances are that each child will get a different card & will practice reading a different word!
You can click the pictures above or click here to grab this game
Don't forget to grab it by December 5th!

I am giving away a copy of my winter centers to one of our readers.  This engaging unit has 5 ELA Centers and 5 Math Centers.  These are great for independent practice and should take you through January and into February.  You can see what centers are included in the slide of the table of contents.  I'm also including a few pictures of what the unit looks like inside.

You can see it here in my store.  I'll pick a winner on Saturday December 5th.  Good luck!
